THE DSP MEMBERSHIP TIMELINE

Delta Sigma Pi is a prestigious business fraternity that features a more comprehensive recruitment process. Here’s an overview of the DSP recruitment journey from beginning to end.

Gradient Background

RECRUITMENT WEEK

During Recruitment Week, Potential New Members will have the opportunity to attend fun and engaging events to learn more about Delta Sigma Pi. At these events, PNMs will investigate our purpose, philanthropy, and brotherhood.

FALL RECRUITMENT
Early September

SPRING RECRUITMENT
Late January

PLEDGING

The Pledging process is a 4-6 week commitment, which begins soon after the conclusion of our recruitment week. We like to think of the pledge process as the equivalent of adding on a 3-credit course. This process is designed to immerse and educate potential members on our traditions and history, both nationally and at ASU.  The Process will also promote professional development and prepare recruits for active membership following initiation.

INITIATION

Initiation is the formal conclusion of the pledging process, where recruits become full-time, active brothers of our Gamma Omega Chapter.

FAQs

Q: What are the requirements for membership?

A: You must be enrolled as a business student in the W.P. Carey School of Business, have a 3.0 GPA or above, have at least 2 full semesters left before graduation, and be in good standing with the university.

Q: What makes DSP Different from a Greek Organization? Can I be in DSP and a Greek Org at the same time?

A: Yes, you can be in both a Greek organization and Delta Sigma Pi at the same time. In fact, many of our members do this! The main difference between DSP and Greek Orgs is our dedication to professional development, our strong affiliation with the W.P. Carey School Of Business, and our Co-Ed Environment.

Q: Why do students join DSP?

A: Dsp offers opportunities to sharpen professional skills, build a network of likeminded and motivated peers, contribute to community service and philanthropy efforts, and build lifelong connections. Most members find fulfillment through a combination of these benefits.

Q: How should I approach the recruitment process? What are some Tips for Success?

A: During recruitment, focus on having genuine conversations. Be honest, don't lie about your experience or interests to try to appear like a better candidate. Try to attend as many events as possible! Make sure to submit your applications online before the deadline. These will go out at the beggining of the week and are due on the last event before invite-only.

Q: What Philanthropies does DSP Work With?

A: DSP works with the Aris Foundation, a local non-profit fighting homelessness. We also work with the Pitchfork Pantry, Keep Tempe Beautiful, Feed My Starving Children, and many other local organizations!
